1 kilogram-force (kgf, also called kilopond) equals 9.80665 newton – the weight force that 1 kg of mass produces in Earth's gravitational field. Kilogram-force is still used colloquially in some engineering contexts, but it is not an SI unit.

1 pound-force (lbf) equals 4.448 newton. Pound-force is the unit of force commonly used in the US, while newton (N) is the international SI unit for force.

1 dyne equals 10^-5 newton, i.e. one hundred-thousandth of a newton. Dyne comes from the older CGS system of units and today is mainly still used in older physics texts or for very small forces at the microscopic scale.
