1 ampere-hour (Ah) equals 3,600 coulomb (C), since 1 ampere flows for 1 hour (3,600 seconds): Q = I * t. Battery capacities are usually given in Ah or mAh, while physical charge is given in coulomb.

The milliampere-hour figure (mAh) describes how much charge the battery can store. A 4,000 mAh battery can theoretically supply 4,000 mA (4 A) for one hour, or correspondingly longer at lower current draw.

1 milliampere-hour (mAh) equals 3.6 coulomb. For a 4,000 mAh battery, that's 4,000 * 3.6 = 14,400 coulomb of stored charge.
